Santana Fellenz was a flight attendant who was working with rescues fostering dogs. She decided to retire from the airline business and open a shelter to help save more animals while being able to care for them while they are on her property. Tim Moseley , Santana’s husband built a property for the dogs to be cared for while caring for their other animals on their property. They also care for 6 horses, an alpaca, a pig, ducks, chickens, and rabbits. The rescue Moseleys’ Mutt Oasis Dog Rescue began July 2020 and received its nonprofit status too. Within the first year we saved over 60 dogs from various circumstances and adopted them out.
Our mission is to provide dogs with a comfortable environment while staying at the oasis until adopted out. We also get to know the personality & temperament of the dogs so we can correctly place the dog with an owner that is compatible with the dog.
Moseleys' Mutt Oasis has 1200 square foot facility with large dog runs, a "she shed" for lounging and adapting to a home living environment as well as a 1 1/2 acres of play area they use daily. The dogs are usually in small packs to play and socialize with a variety of dogs. There is plenty of land for the dogs to run and play instead of being caged during their stay here.
